Pricing and getting a quote
Do you charge a call out fee?
There is no call out fee, ever; it is $0. A licensed plumber attends, assesses the fault and hands you a price, and that costs you nothing whether or not you go ahead.
How do you price a job?
Your plumber sets a single fixed price in writing before starting, based on the actual job in front of us. The price we quote is what you pay, with nothing added on afterwards, and no hourly meter ticking over.
Do nights and weekends cost more?
No, there are no overtime rates here, so a Saturday night call out is priced exactly the same way as a weekday morning one. You get the same fixed quote in writing up front, whatever the hour you call.
What if I do not go ahead after the quote?
That is completely fine. The call out and the quote are free, so if the price does not suit you there is no obligation and nothing at all to pay.

Booking and availability
Are you available after hours?
Yes, someone real picks up day or night, including weekends and every public holiday. For an urgent fault such as a burst pipe or a gas smell, we get moving quickly.
How quickly can you get to me?
Crews stay working around the district and get on the road when you call, so urgent jobs are seen fast and most others are fitted in the same day, with a realistic window given on the call.
Can you give me a time window?
Yes. For scheduled jobs we set a time that suits your day, and for emergencies we tell you honestly how quickly someone can be there rather than leaving you guessing.
Do I need to be home for the visit?
For most jobs yes, so we can reach the fault and confirm the work with you before we start. For some external drainage or meter tasks we can arrange access another way, so it is worth asking when you book.

Common local plumbing problems
Why is the water pressure so low in my old cottage?
The interwar cottages often still carry original galvanised supply lines that corrode internally and choke the flow until the taps barely run. Renewing the affected sections restores full pressure through the home.
Why do the flats keep losing hot water?
Many walk-up blocks still run storage heaters of one vintage, set into laundry and stairwell recesses. Because a whole bank shares an age, a single failure usually signals more to come, which is why winter can bring a cluster of them.
My drain keeps blocking, what is going on?
On the older flat blocks the sewers are earthenware, and ground movement has parted the joints so roots and grease catch on them and pack the pipe until it stops draining. A camera run shows exactly where and why, which decides whether a clear, a repair or a relining is right.
Is a gas smell always an emergency?
Treat it as one. Many older flats and cottages had gas cooking added long ago and still carry ageing fittings, so leave the property, call from outside, and we will make it safe and repair it.

Licensing, warranty and after the job
Are you properly licensed?
Yes, all work is completed under licence #275278C, with full insurance behind it. The compliance certificates that go with the work reach you as part of the job, so your home's paperwork trail stays complete.
Is your work guaranteed?
Yes. Our workmanship is covered by a Lifetime Labour Warranty, so if something we fixed is ever not right, a plumber returns and puts it right for free.
Do you handle the compliance paperwork?
Yes. Where a job needs a compliance certificate, whether for gas or other regulated work, we complete it and hand it over with the invoice so your records stay in order.
What areas do you cover?
Beyond the rail-corridor streets, crews regularly work the neighbouring suburbs of Carlton, South Hurstville, Kogarah Bay, Carss Park and Beverley Park, with the same pricing and the same warranty.
Can you work with strata and building managers?
Yes, we work regularly with strata and building managers across the walk-up blocks, reporting clearly on shared stacks and ageing heaters, staging the work in order, and handling the paperwork for common-property repairs.
